What is it with Newcastle players being continually linked to us? Firstly we had N'Zogbia whoring himself out to us for the past 5 years but ends up with the mighty Wigan Athletic, we have Martins who despite not being a regular is continually linked to us and for the past season Bassong. I mean let’s be honest has Bassong ever really impressed? The only time I’ve noticed him is when he's linked to us. Is he any better than what we already have? I don't think so and I don't think you'll ever see him sign for us.

Valencia flop but football manager legend, Ever Benega is latest name to be linked to us.

I admit I haven't seen a whole lot of him apart from a few glimpses of him playing in the world youth cup. He looks a half decent defensive midfielder. Admittedly I haven't seen a lot of him but I don't think this one's got any legs as a transfer story.

I think this one might have some truth to it because
a.) He’s French b.) He’s young c.) He’s cheap.
We've been linked to him for the past season or so. He seems to have the attributes we are missing, but would he be a big enough name to appease the Arsenal fans?

Blackwood joins an illustrious list of gunner greats such as Rohan Ricketts, Jamie O' Hara, and David Bentley in signing for the scum. I wish him the same level of success.
